Doha – Mubasher: Medicare Group plans to open a new branch that will include a clinics complex worth about QAR 500 million ($137.38 million) in the second quarter of 2016, the company’s CEO, Khaled El Emady, told Mubasher, on Tuesday.
“The new project will be built in Al Wakrah city, and will include a polyclinic that will operate 24/7,” El Emady said.
“We are seeking to maintain our strategy despite slowing growth… we will decrease our costs and expenses by cutting some jobs and spending in a way that does not effect on operating performance,” the CEO added.
Doha – Mubasher: Medicare Group’s shareholders agreed on Tuesday the board of director’s proposal to distribute cash dividends at 50%, equivalent to QAR 5 ($1.37) per share.
The company’s OGM earlier approved the same cash dividends for the fiscal year 2014.
Medicare Group’s profits declined last year by 0.63% to QAR 180.38 million ($49.6 million) from QAR 181.52 million ($49.9 million) in 2014.
